Why Creativity Matters in Logo Design

Why Creativity Matters in Logo Design

A brand is something that sells itself. It is the personality of a company which the consumers perceive. Just as a brand represents a company’s personality, a logo denotes a company’s face.  Although you cannot control the perception of the consumers, you can determine what they see as the face of the company.

Here are the reasons why Logo Design should always be creative:

Inspire the Audience

A logo is a single visual picture which acts as a communication tool with the audience; therefore it should meaningfully carry the brand’s message to inspire the people. The more the audience is moved by your logo, the better it will be for the brand’s image. Also, it has to be relevant enough to become the pillar of the brand. Creativity is what will influence the brand the most, according to illustrative designer, Von Glitschka.

Building Recognition

Your logo acts as a reminder for the general public. It is something they can relate to and connect with. They will be able to tell which products the brand sells and of the company’s orientation, just by seeing their logo. For example; brand’s logos like Mango, Nike, Gucci, Rolex, and Zara are well known and recognizable among the consumers of these brands.

Brand Uniqueness

Your logo should be eye catching and different, to make it stand out. There are hundreds and thousands of brands out there and to become extraordinary, you need to be more creative and innovative. You need to give a reason to your target audience to opt for your brand from the pool of many; hence uniqueness is the top priority. Adding a touch of creativity doesn’t mean it has to be complicated though. Uniqueness can also be achieved by keeping things simple and basic.

Being in the same business sometimes may lead to overlapping of logos; therefore it would be best to go through the logos of your competitors to ensure that the design is not plagiarized. Distinctive logos not only set you apart, but also get your business recognized in the public’s eye. They hold the power to uplift the company; be it big or small, local or international. It radiates professionalism and helps you enter the big markets and earn more customers.

Promotion and Publicity

Logos are published on many different places for the purpose of marketing and promotions, which not only include business cards and online ads but also billboards, brochure hats, t-shirts, cars and any other object you would like to use as an advertising medium. Creative logos will look good on all these surfaces and will be easier to market at any event if needed. Before finalizing the logo, it must be tested on all these items to make sure it looks attractive and eye catching on all backdrops.

The thoughts of the public are not in our control, but how we present ourselves to them is something that we can modify. To earn loyal customers and leave an optimistic and memorable impression on them, you can add more creativity to your logo.  Simple, creative and relevant are the three tricks to making the backbone of your brand stronger than ever.
